Recycling of iron and metal scrap

Recycling of iron and metal scrap is an important part of the circular economy. Recycling involves collecting, sorting, and processing scrap to be reused as raw material in the manufacturing of new products. This reduces environmental and climate impact.

Reduced environmental impact

Recycling of iron and metal scrap reduces the need to extract new raw materials, thus contributing to a reduced environmental and climate impact.

Infinite recycling

Iron and metal are among the most recycled materials in the world and can be recycled indefinitely.

Reduced landfilling

Recycling of iron and metal scrap reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills.

Reduced carbon emissions

Recycling 1 ton of iron scrap can save up to 1.8 tons in carbon emissions.

Our services

Waste management for industrial companies

If your business generates waste/production waste in the form of iron and/or metal scrap, we are happy to help you find a solution that is both environmentally friendly and provides you with the best possible compensation for your material. We help your business review its production flow to minimize production waste first, and then explore the possibilities for reuse or recycling within your own business. This is in accordance with the waste hierarchy (Environmental Code 15 chapter 10§).

Of course, we also offer collection, sorting, and removal of your scrap by, for example, providing containers within your business. Emptying is done regularly as agreed, the scrap is handled environmentally friendly, and we ensure that it becomes a profitable deal for you.

Productification of waste (iron and/or metal scrap)

Productification of waste

At Ketsu Metal, we have experience in productifying iron and/or metal scrap in accordance with the End-Of-Waste criteria (EOW). We are familiar with the criteria specified in the Environmental Code (15 chapter 9 a §) and EOW, which determine when iron and metal scrap cease to be waste. In accordance with these criteria, we have helped several companies review their recycling processes for productification of scrap previously classified as waste. One of several advantages of productifying scrap is opening up export markets to countries where current EU legislation prohibits the export of waste.

Contact us and we'll tell you more about how we can help you productify your waste.
